6:00 PM  –  9:00 PM

In this two-part class, students learn the basics of framing 2-dimensional works. This class will cover basic mat cutting, hanging, and assembly for a proper frame job. All supplies and equipment provided. Ages 15-adult. Taught by Laura Garner Hine.

Laura Garner Hine resides in Columbia, South Carolina. Her art education consists of degrees and certifications from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, the Rijksuniversiteit in Groningen, the Netherlands, and lastly, Accademia Riaci in Florence, Italy. Her work has been shown in numerous locations, both nationally and internationally. She holds memberships with the American Institute for Conservation (AIC), the Emerging Conservation Professionals Network (ECPN), as well as the Southeast Regional Conservation Association (SERCA), and the Contemporaries with the Columbia Museum of Art. She currently serves as a board member for the non-profit organizations Bullets and Band-aids (veterans healing through art) and Jasper Magazine (a multidisciplinary arts organization). Laura lives with her husband and daughter, their two dogs and two cats, and aside from her passion for cultural heritage and fine art in general, she enjoys traveling, the outdoors, cooking, gardening, and strumming the ukulele.

Class must meet a minimum of 5 students to hold. In the case of a cancellation, students will receive a full refund of their purchase.
